Computers for families in need

The Digital Poverty Alliance is aiming to end digital poverty by 2030.

As part of their new partnership with Currys plc, this week they are launching a hugely exciting new project in five pilot areas across the country to help families who are struggling to make ends meet get access to computers.

For families who live in West Cumbria, if you don’t have access to a computer, you can apply through the Digital Poverty Alliance to have them send you one from Currys – not as loan or rental, it’s for your family, for good.

They won’t be asking for any means-testing information, but will ask that a member of the community verifies that a family needs a device.
