Gosforth Public Hall is managed by the Public Hall Council of Management which is a registered charity. The hall is used for a variety of activities from Karate and Exercise Classes to exhibitions, parties, meetings and performances from the resident amateur dramatic society GADS as well as national touring theatre companies. The hall is one of the largest community venues in the area with a stage and sprung floor.
Following the easing of ‘lockdown’ due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Public Hall has been made ‘Covid-secure’ and re-opened on 17th August 2020 to facilitate a week-long GADS Drama Workshop. Dates are yet to be confirmed but it is expected that regular Pilates and Karate sessions will recommence soon. There is a one-way system in place with the entrance at the rear of the building and the hall has been marked out to enable safe social distancing.
