Farming community invited to meet Trudy Harrison MP

COPELAND MP Trudy Harrison has launched a series of gatherings for members of the constituency’s farming community.
Mrs Harrison – a Minister in Defra – has announced four evening events in locations across the constituency, in which she will share information and updates from the sector. The gatherings will also give the opportunity for farmers to share ideas and suggestions with Mrs Harrison and one another.
The gatherings will be held on the following dates:

  • Friday, November 18 in Gosforth
  • Friday, January 27 in Lamplugh
  • Friday, February 10 in Bootle
  • Friday, February 24 in Keswick

All begin at 7.30pm and include a pie and pea supper.
Mrs Harrison said: “I am very much looking forward to these events, which will give me a chance to share updates with our farming community, and to listen to what they have to say.
“Farming is the backbone of so many of our communities and there is no industry like farming for the level of passion, experience and knowledge that exists that has, in many cases, been passed down through generations.”
Those who would like to attend are asked to RSVP to trudy.harrison.mp@parliament.uk or 01229 718333, indicating which event they would like to attend.
Guests are asked to note that the RSVP deadline for the first event in Gosforth is Wednesday, November 16.
